Class Observation, Composition Group 3 A

The format for this class stayed the same, there were no supplementary materials, the instruction occurred projecting a computer writing software (MS Word). The instructor engaged with the student nonstop reviewing grammar concepts one by one ( a list was not provided). The instructor would type a grammar term and asked the student to define it; subsequently, the instructor typed the correct definition. The student would receive immediate feedback when struggling, meaning, the answer was provided by the instructor.

I think the purpose of this review was to reinforce several grammar concepts in one session. The student was given an opportunity to take more notes if need be. This particular session gave the student an opportunity to share their knowledge. I found this exercise useful as an evaluation tool beyond testing.
