During our conversation today, Dojun and I spent a good portion of the time speaking about Holidays and the different customs that we have. I told him about Thanksgiving and Christmas, and how my family adds a little Hispanic twist to these Holidays. He asked me questions about the tree and if we decorate like in the movies. I explained yes, but also asked him about the customs in South Korea. This led us to speak about Lunar New Year and how that works. I've heard of this before, but never really delved too deep into the Holiday. We then began to speak about corporate American and how vacation time works. This then led to a conversation about travel and the places that Dojun has been. He told me that he went to Washington and that's when I asked him multiple questions.
"Was it rainy in Washington?"
"Did you go anywhere else in the United States?"
"What did you think of Canada when you went?"
I quickly learned that he understands English pretty well and has a quick reaction/response time.
